The renovation of the practical laboratories (S-120 A, B, C — Micro Lab and Molecular Lab) at the Department of Zoology, University of Yangon, carried out by FIRST PRIME CO., LTD. over three years ago.
What the renovation changed
Each room was stripped back and rebuilt as a fully serviced teaching and research laboratory.
S-120 — Micro Lab
S-120 — Molecular Lab
FIRST PRIME CO., LTD. took full responsibility for upgrading and renovating three practical laboratory rooms for the Department of Zoology at Yangon University — rooms S-120 A, B and C, which house the department's Micro Lab and Molecular Lab. The work was carried out during the 2020–2021 fiscal year and formally handed over to the university on completion.
The rooms went from worn timber benches and bare concrete to a fully serviced teaching and research space. FIRST PRIME supplied and installed the laboratory furniture — island benches with reagent racks and cabinets, wall benches, twin-basin units with pegboards, and lab stools — together with the mechanical and electrical fit-out: ducted ventilation, air conditioning, new lighting, and a seamless epoxy floor.
Safety and services were built in throughout: an emergency shower and eyewash station, an industrial socket dedicated to the autoclave, lab partitions, and safety film on the windows.
Every item in the scope was inspected and completed to 100% before the formal handover. Being trusted to renovate teaching laboratories at Yangon University is work FIRST PRIME remains proud of — it directly supports the next generation of scientists in Myanmar.
